Do Wedding Dresses Have to be White?

When it comes to the big day in every person's life -- their wedding day -- there are so many decisions that need to be made for every aspect of the wedding. A new change, though, is the decision that the bride must make on if they want to be traditional with the white wedding dress or if they want to step out of the box and wear a colorful gown on their day. Does it imply breaking tradition, though, if the bride decides that she wants to add some color to the wedding and wear a gown that isn't white?

There are many more instances in today's day and age in which the bride at a wedding has taken the less conventional route and decided to wear a gown that is colored with their theme rather than the traditional white dress. That's not to say it is a bad thing, though, as the decision is on the bride and nobody else, but is it looked down upon? We guess that it depends on who is around and if anybody will judge the dress because it is in fact the bride's choice and most people will respect that.

More and more often, the dress has become less traditional and more modern in terms of style and color, but the way they are designed still flows extremely well as a wedding dress. Breaking out of the habit of wearing white has become more popular and designers are taking advantage of the new trend in order to keep up with competition. So on your wedding day ladies, will you have a modern, colorful flare or are you planning on sticking with the traditional white wedding gown on your special day?
